Alicia Keys arrives in SA


 
 
Grammy award-winning R&B singer Alicia Keys has arrived in South Africa ahead of the start of the World Cup.

The 29-year-old is among the artists performing at the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert on Thursday, the eve of the opening match of the tournament.

She will be joined by Shakira, who will perform the official World Cup song, "Waka Waka", as well as the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, the Parlotones, Hugh Masekela and Freshlyground. Legend arrived in SA yesterday.
Keys recently went public with her relaionship with Swizz Beatz (right), real name Kasseem Dean, who has created hits for Jay Z and Whitney Houston. Together they are expecting a baby this year.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa begins on Friday, with the opening match to be played by South Africa and Mexico.
