Dr. Dwayne Carter Is Saving Inmate Lives

It's been less than a month since Lil Wayne's entered Rikers Island, escort in sight, but the Young Money captain seems to be adjusting well to prison life. According to Us Weekly, the N'awlins rapper has started a job supervising suicidal inmates.
Wayne's ex-wife and star of BET's Tiny & ToyaAntonia "Toya" Johnson told the gossip magazine yesterday about Wayne's new gig. "[Wayne] watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don't kill themselves. He likes the job, even though they don't pay him much," she says.
Toya, who also shares an 11-year-old daughter with Wayne, told our sources in early March that her ex requested she remain strong and resilient in front of Reginae. The two were high school lovers and married in 2004, divorcing two years later. Wayne is currently serving a one-year sentence on gun possession charges, but may return home in as soon as eight months with good behavior.
