BREAKING NEWS!! Unions Ground All Arik Air Flights In Lagos

All Arik Air flights from Lagos have been grounded by labour unions over unpaid dues to them.

Aviation Union leaders and their members stormed the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport as early as 7.am to block the carrier from operating its normal flights out of Lagos.

Some stranded passengers who emailed and sent text messages on the development said union members claim their agencies are being owed over N17 billion naira in unpaid dues by the carrier.

They alleged that the airline owes NAMA, FAAN, NCAA, all federal government aviation agency various sums running into billions of naira. Just yesterday, Arik celebrated flying its ten millionth passenger.
