Armed "kill'n go mobile policemen were reported encircling a group of young activists in Kano, Nigeria's most populous northern city, after the group began an Egyptian-style Tahrir Square occupation of the Silver Jubilee Square.
Protesters sent grainy photos of dozens of armed policemen in what appears to be preparations for a full-scale attack on them.
