In an upcoming issue of Architectural Digest magazine, superstars Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith take readers on a pictorial tour of their beautiful 25 ,000 square foot, 9-bedroom Calabasas, Calif. home that took them seven years to build and perfect.
In the feature, the usually shielded and private Smith family give us an inside peek into their home life, including their in-house studio where 10 - year-old daughter Willow recorded her hit single 'Whip My Hair,' a meditation room, two kids' rooms, one with bunk beds, the other a canopy bed; and a great room with views out to the mountains. The outside property boasts a lake, tennis and basketball courts, and three golf holes. The entire house has a circular floor plan that Will says creates "an infinite cycle that represented what Jada and I hoped for our love."
Jada speaks on the lengthy construction period, saying that it was a labor of love: "
…for Will and me this home was always a spiritual endeavor. We're very earthy, organic people. We wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land."
