R&B singer Darey Art-Alade has officially been announced as the new host of the popular Glo Naija Sings talent show. The news was broken via the Glo Naija Sings Twitter account ( @glonaijasings ) tonight. Darey, who was only yesterday announced as co-host for this year's edition of Gulder Ultimate Search , takes over the Glo assignment from Olisa Adibua who has hosted the past two editions. No official release from the producers yet, and we cannot say for now, why Adibua, was dropped. And there are even more changes : former Soundcity VJ Derenle Edun has also been added on board as a 'behind-the-scenes' presenter. Former Glo Naija Sings host Olisa Adibua who has anchored two editions or the talent show will now assume the role of a resident judge. Olisa, with his vast knowledge and experience in music and entertainment, will be evaluating contestants from far and wide…
Also Tosin Martins will serve as a vocal and performance coach, while producer Dokta Frabz resumes his role as music director. And to spice things up, it has been announced that a celebrity will join Olisa during each episode as guest judge. After weeks of preliminary recordings across the country, we're told Glo Naija Sings will commence on Sunday 21 , August 2011.
