Bobby Brown Sentenced to 55 Days in Jail for DUI

The third time was not the charm for Bobby Brown. A California judge sentenced the R&B great to 55 days in jail for a recent DUI charge, the third such offense on his record.
According to TMZ, Brown pled no contest to the charges on Tuesday. In addition to the jail time the New Edition band member is on probation for four years and must complete an 18-month alcohol program.
Brown was arrested in October 2012 after he failed a field sobriety test during a traffic stop. Los Angeles police pulled over Brown’s vehicle when they noticed him driving erratically. Prior to the October arrest, the 43-year-old entertainer was jailed for operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .12, the legal limit is .08, in March. Brown caught his first DUI conviction in 1996.
The court has given the R&B bad boy until March 20 to turn himself into the authorities, and in the meantime he must attend 3 AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings per week.
