Colleagues Mourn Toun Oni
Veteran actress Toun Oni who passed on last Wednesday July 7 will be buried at the Atan Cemetary in Lagos, this Thursday July 15.
Family sources who spoke to NET say the late actress will be laid to rest after a brief service at an undisclosed church.
Florence Adetoun Oni, 68, died after a brief illness, ending decades of first-class acting and dancing. To many, she’s mostly remembered for her role as the elder Fuji wife in Amaka Igwe’s award-winning series ‘Fuji House of Commotion’.
‘“I will miss Mama T. We worked together for 20 years, from Checkmate to Violated and then for so many years on Fuji House. She gave 110% every time’ Amaka Igwe said in a statement made available to NET today.
‘It was a great pleasure directing and I can still see her face from the last Fuji House shoot. I was in denial for a long time, hoping and praying this was one of those hoax stories of a star’s death; she was a real star…there aren’t many like this around any longer.’
‘Our Mama Moji is gone and Fuji House of Commotion will never be the same without her’
