Omoni Oboli and Sam Sarpong Are Parents To An Anchor Baby.

Star actress Omoni Oboli and Hollywood actor Sam Sarpong have been ordered by the US immigration to leave the country by voluntary departure. They decide to leave; but only after Omoni, who is five months pregnant delivers their baby in the US so the child would be a citizen by birth. They go into hiding only for Paul to be caught and deported by Immigration officers led by agent Mark Castello played by Michael Scratch. Omoni  is then left to struggle for survival, she met Terri Oliver’s character Susan Backley. Mrs Backley is a freelance writer who offers to help her with free accommodation until her baby is born. With the help of Susan, Omoni sets out on the most daring journey of her life; to achieve the “American Dream” for her unborn child. She will try by any means necessary.
In the movie set in the United States, but was shot in Brampton and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada titled Anchor baby, Omoni Oboli’s character is Joyce and Sam Sarpong is Paul Unanga. The movie is centred around Love between a man and woman; mother and unborn child, dreams, desperation, betrayal and struggles, faced by these non-citizens in order to belong to the American society.

“Anchor Baby” is actually a derogatory term for kids born by immigrants or non-citizens in the United States.
The film is written, directed and produced by first time director Lonzo Nzekwe and his independent film company Alpha Galore films, a division of Alpha Galore Inc. based in Brampton, Ontario Canada with as Ian Sun and Jeremy Hood as co producers.
Anchor Baby would hit Nigerian cinemas before the end of the year.
