Is Wande Coal leaving Mo’ Hits?

According to Punch Nigeria Newspapers he could be. Apparently the show of unity by the crew is just that…a show. It is being reported that for some time now Wande Coal has been unhappy with the way he's been treated by his label; Mo' Hits . If the reports are to be believed there is ongoing beef between WC & his bosses D'Banj & Don Jazzy . Caused by a number of reasons ranging from feelings of relegation to WC's reported lack of respect. According to WC's "friend" who spoke to E- Punch on condition of anonymity, "They were having a meeting one day, and WC who hardly talks actually spoke rudely, even raising his voice at D'banj and you know he is the one that runs Mo'Hits more or less," There were several other instances of insubordination but the label bosses turned a blind eye. He's also reportedly pissed  he didn't benefit from the "presidential windfall" which Banj & IDJA got from their President Goodluck Jonathan endorsement, in the past a few crumbs would have fallen his way but not this time. Another reason being given is that, the label hasn't released any new music from him since '09. He is concerned that he has been neglected for the past year and there is no effort being made to release new music from him. Again the anonymous source dishes that he has loads of recorded tracks which his bosses have refused to put out because it had no input from Don Jazzy. And he can't release it independently because he is still tied to his contract with them. Until early this year, all 6 members of the crew (Banj, Don Jazzy, K-Switch, WC, D'Prince & Dr. Sid) shared a frat house in Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria but D'Banj & Don Jazzy moved to their Lekki Mansion complete with twin Bentley's taking K-Switch (Banj's bro with them), Dr Sid moved to 1004 flats in Victoria Island, leaving Wande & D'Prince at the Maryland house. A further slap to WC's face: the standby generator from the Maryland house was moved to the Lekki Mansion. Again alleged by the source… Punch goes on to say that WC has now been complaining to his industry colleagues, especially the one's that have D'Banj & IDJA's ears, that he is not being fairly treated and that he wants to release another album before he is relegated to has-been status in the industry. E-Punch is also reporting that WC has started planning for life post-Mo' Hits, he has reportedly incorporated his own record label, Black Diamond. However when the paper spoke to him, he firmly denied floating a label. His manager, Sunday Are, also says Wande is still under the tutelage of D' banj and Don Jazzy and that the relationship is chummy as ever. My thoughts…If all this is true (and I think it is…remember no smoke without fire) isn't it time WC moved out of the house & got his own damn generator! He can still do business with the crew…but why do they need to live together? I for one never thought business and friendship was a good mix…something would have to give. Goodness knows how long WC signed his life away for, that contract must be so airtight. Wande's 2009 debut album, Mushin to Mo'Hits was a huge commercial success, which propelled him to superstar status, but lately we haven't heard much from him, except a few appearances here and there & let's not forget the "alleged" nude photo scandal. We have our eyes on this story…I'm sure this isn't the last we'll here about it. Until then keeping my fingers crossed for some new music from W-Ceezy! !!!!
