The Boys from Jos Town

MI.

Jos has been in the news for the wrong reasons over the past few years; religious crisis, un-warranted murder of thousands of innocent lives and loss of property. But like people say, in every dark cloud, there is a silver lining. I'm gonna brag today about several boys from J-town that have taken over the music industry in Naija. From P-square (peter and paul okoye) winners of several awards both nationally and internationally, and nominations for the BET awards, to the short black dude called MI (mr. Incredible), Jude Abaga whose flows have accorded him respect in high places despit his "down to earth" persona. Furthermore, Jesse Jagz, brother to M.I, has also claimed his spot in the industry proving to critics that he is not living off his brother's star. Ice prince isn't left out in this triumphant forward-march of these Jos boys. His hit single "oleku" has been banging all over the radio in Naija. BEZ, the soulful and Jazzy rhytmic crooner whose singles "stop pretending" and "zucchiya daya" have proved beyond doubt his bright future in the genre of soul. Yes, the future is bright to more people from the quiet terrains of a town named Jos. As the election draws nigh, I pray: let peace reign in Jos town!
