Asa is back on track again with “Beautiful Imperfection”. Even though the first single (be my man) released off the album has not been enjoying airplay as expected in her home country, considering the highly successful Asa, her debut album. It’s like the pop diva is winning many French fans’ heart with this new single which takes us back to the old soul music. The album founded its way to number one on iTunes France album chart just a day after it was released on iTunes. The Naive record artist is fast becoming the next big artist from West Africa after Angelique Kidjo.Two years ago, her self titled album earned her one of the best awards in France “prix constantin”. Obvious the French taken with Beautiful Imperfection. Asa’s beautiful imperfection is currently at number 5 on iTunes France album chart behind Shakira’s sale el sol and at number 10 on Belgium album chart.
Asa, who earlier appeared and performed on the popular French music TV show “taratata” on France 2 Is on the verge of bridging the gap between west African style of music and pop.
