Kanye West’s Womenswear Line Is Reportedly Unwearable

Even if Kanye does show his highly anticipated collection this weekend, that doesn't mean you'll see it in stores. Get the latest details.

Kanye is reportedly showing his womenswear collaboration at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday (October 1), and if all the rumored details about the collection are true, it’s sounding like it could either be really haute or a hot mess.

Today, Rolling Stone reported that the collection will probably include “inventive knitwear” and “color blocking,” while Grazia has previously claimed the line is "seemingly based on Samurai, with lots of sporty garments, but in luxury fabrics, with embellishment, embroidery — Japanese stuff — gold chainmail.” We expect nothing less than over-the-top from Kanye, but don’t those details sound like a description of one of Nicki Minaj’s red carpet ensembles when you mash them all up?

The pieces are expected to be "extraordinarily expensive; some of it is virtually unproduceable,” so no matter how beautiful or ridiculous they may turn out, they probably won’t see shelves anyway. It's all speculation for now, but if we can bet on anything: good, bad or ugly, we're sure we'll be entertained.
