Chris Brown Cleared in Phone Snatching Case

Chris Brown
Chris Brown is in the clear for the cell phone snatching incident that occurred in February when a fan accused the pop star of running away with her cell phone after she snapped a picture of him. The accuser claims Brown said, "B----, you ain't going to put that on no website."

According to TMZ, after a thorough investigation that included statements from Karrueche Tran (Brown’s girlfriend at the time), Tyga and the rapper’s security guard the evidence wasn’t enough to support the case. Tyga says Breezy did take the cell phone, while Karrueche says the phone fell into the car after the accuser struck her on the head with it. The device was never found because according to Tran it was later tossed.

Tyga’s body guard, Devon Blanche, told police at the time, "Brown may have taken [the phone] because Brown is known to be especially concerned that if photographs of himself with two females got out, it might cause him problems with Rihanna." Brown and Karrueche were definitely together at the time of the incident.

TMZ's report also included a statement from the Miami-Dade State Attorney, "The Miami Beach Police Department and my prosecutors have reviewed all of the evidence and taken the statements of numerous witnesses, many of whom were interviewed in California, and have determined we are not taking any type of criminal action regarding the incident."

This case was of particular importance because if Brown was in fact convicted he would be in violation of his probation for his 2009 assault on Rihanna.
