M.I.2 Premiere Witness: “I’m Sorry To Say but M.I.2 is a Scam”
While for some, the album and event is a perfect follow-up with colleagues of rapper M.I. tweeting congratulatory messages to the rapper. Talking to a guest at the ‘movie’ premiere, she told Questionmarkmag.com “what is the movie when what was done at Silverbird cinemas was his performance of records on the original soundtrack album then video with celebs talking about the price of fame and suntry other issues. The entire buzz can be rightfully called a scam, I’m sorry to call it that.”
In the new soundtrack album now on sales, M.I. showcases a continual of his debut also addresses the ‘feud’ with rapper Iceberg saying it is alright and welcome with he (Iceberg) ’dissing’ him to sell record.
The premiere that took place at Silverbird Cinemas and an after party at De marquee bar and lounge featured M.I. and every other artiste featured on the soundtrack album – MI2 besides Tuface. There was also a performance by Bez to make up for Tuface’s absence..
The turnout was impressive, next stop with the premiere train is Abuja.
Better Life for Everybody VI

The above scriptures start with a depiction of God's plan for us. He has destined for us to live in a land flowing with milk and honey, abundance, where we will lack nothing and then we shall bless Him for His graciousness.
Jesus said we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the things we need, food, clothes, homes, will be added to us. We must learn to put our trust absolutely in God even in the face of dire or desperate straits and when you do, you will lack nothing. Use lack as an opportunity to discover God. Don't make a habit of begging, or else you won't find God and you will turn human beings into your source of supply. Remember, woe unto the man who trusts in man. Take the decision that God won't do it, then you won't have it; God will undoubtedly show up when it's Him you are trusting, and when He does, your faith grows stronger.
Once you go past the basic needs on levels one and two of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a different set of things drive your life; you become aware of your needs for love and relationship, self esteem, recognition, achievement and success. Then, there is a tendency to forget your Lord your God Who has provided the abundance you now enjoy. Beware! Watch carefully that you don't lose the drive to seek God when everything has fallen into place – good schools, good health care etc. That's problem with the developed world, they've lost the zeal to seek God because all their basic needs have been met. Also, temptations come with breakthroughs.
The way to combat this is to follow Christ's advice. Jesus told the wealthy young man who asked how he could inherit eternal life, to sell all that he had and distribute to the poor. That's a cue. Instead of coming up from levels one to five in Maslow's theory of needs, let's start from level five. The problem with levels one to four is that on these levels, the focus is on what to get. On level five, you succeed by giving, and when you give you'll get. If you love genuinely and solve problems for people, you cannot lack.
The surest way to attain success is to help people break free from poverty; when you do this, you will never be broke or poor for the rest of your life. Giving also ensures that you will never be blown away by large sums of money because you will give it away anyway, to solve problems. God trusts you because you have been faithful with little so He gives you more. The more you give away, the more you get. That's the secret!

The top two spots are held by former president George Bush and his autobiography and Laura Hillenbrand\'s Unbroken. Decoded gives fans insight into Jay-z\'s lyrics and his life. The book was included on Oprah\'s \'Favorite Things\' show last week and is in the top ten sellers on Amazon.com. The New York Times says, \"Decoded gives the reader a harrowing portrait of the rough worlds Jay-Z navigated in his youth, while at the same time deconstructing his lyrics.\"
Faith Evans cuts DUI deal
Faith Evans has cut a 36-month probation deal for the DUI she caught a few months back. Faith was arrested in L.A. back in August and charged with two counts of DUI. And now we know she worked out a probation deal where she agreed to plead \"no contest\" to the lesser charge of reckless driving, pay $300 in fines and complete a 3-month alcohol program. Glad that worked out Faith.
Angelina Jolie faces protest from Rape Victims
As a debut director, Angelina Jolie must have been prepared for unusual challenges, but nothing prepared for this.
Her debut movie (still untitled) is a love story based in Bosnia during the civil war in the 90s. A rumour was started that claimed it wasn’t a love story so much as the relationship between a woman and her rapist. The organisation called Women Victims of War, wrote an angry letter to the United Nations protesting against the film. The reason for this is she is a goodwill ambassador for the UN.
To his credit,, the Bosnian Minister of Culture waded into the issue, read the script and found no evidence of the rumour claims.
Sadly it was too late as she cut the Bosnian shoot from 10 days to 3, so she would shoot the rest in Prague.
Hint: Confirm a rumour before jumping into a situation. You might end up looking stupid, no matter how justified your claims might have seemed at the time.

2010 NMVA. The Winners Are:
In the buildup to the event he had complained about the lack of a major sponsor for the event. This fact, even though, it didn’t stop the event from holding definitely reflected on the quality of the show put up. The economic crunch has definitely affected the entertainment industry in Nigeria and while the $200 million dollars promised by Mr. President is a welcome development for it, the early and necessary access to it by brands such as the NMVA and other laudable entertainment projects annually put up in this country would go a long way in improving their quality and sustainment.

Jude ‘M.I.’ Abaga Releases Digital MI2. .
Rapper M.I. has finally released his most anticipated sophomore album. The movie album, as it is been described by press was expected earlier but had the release postponed. The album which is available for purchase at Nigerianhiphop.net also trended on Twitter as fans and colleagues expressed their excitement and announced their excitement over the release via Twitter. The album parades a decent list of collaborators like Tuface, Brymo, Waje, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, Ruby and surprisely Timaya and Flavour (of MC loph’s remake of Oshondi Owendu track). Evidently M.I. decided to be musical with the album and played less at being a lyricist. As previously reported, There would be a premiere of MI2 at Silverbird, and in Abuja on Dec 9th.

Throughout the event, held at Sheraton Hotels, in Lagos, Genevieve and her friend sat quietly in a corner, but heads did not stop turning their way – and judges Jefferey Daniel and Yinka Davies couldn’t resist joining her for a few pics.

Beyonce Ad: Too Hot for Daytime!
Beyonce is getting banned in the UK for being too sexy!
Knowles' steamy ad for her Heat perfume -- which has been airing in the U.S. no problem -- has come under fire from UK TV viewers ... and has since been banned from daytime TV due to complaints!
Though the ad had been running during the day -- but not during children's programming -- the Advertising Standards Authority responded to complaints by blocking the ad from airing before 7:30PM.
The ASA says they imposed the restriction because the ad was "sexually provocative."
The spot in question shows Beyonce in a slinky red dress, caressing her body as the song "Fever" plays.

Better Life for Everybody 5

Matthew 6: 31-33
Our teachings so far have been built around the thesis by Abraham Maslow's titled the theory of human behavior. To recap briefly, Maslow postulated that human beings are driven by their needs, so he developed the hierarchy of needs. He classified human needs into five levels; starting from the lowest, they are survival, safety, social, self esteem and self actualization needs. He went further to say that not till levels one and two needs, which are physiological needs, are met we don't bother with the higher level needs.
This seems to be the problem with Nigeria, basic needs have not been met and a hungry person cannot be a good citizen. I Tim 6:8. The provision of food and clothing amounts to contentment; so, as believers, we must be part of the big move for change in policies. Christians should take action. Faith without corresponding works is dead. If God has blessed you with the capability to solve accommodation or transportation problems for others, do it. Get into partnership with other people, there is power in synergy, and make an impact in the community.
Africa's greatest problem is the inability to manipulate intangible resources. The intangible controls the material. It's the people who can think, create and manipulate intangible resources that make progress. This is Jesus' solution to the problem – when He came He didn't concern Himself with Herod or any other leaders, He taught the people the truth because the truth will make you free. John 8:31. This is God's strategy. A minister's first assignment is to open the eyes of his followers.
In Nigeria, we have to make policy changes in housing. Safety is level two needs. In developed countries, the government has made it easy for its citizens to own homes by providing access to long term loans and mortgages, so, citizens are not under undue pressure and they can remain productive at work while paying off the loans. This is not the case in here in Nigeria. We are compelled to pay exorbitant rents for a minimum of two years which puts us at a disadvantage financially especially if such a place is being used for business. This has got to change.
Christians should arise as leaders and push for a change.

Ruggedman Set To Release New Album ‘Untouchable’
The Abia state indigene has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons of late, and his messy falling-out with one-time chum buddy – 9ice has been well-documented. If the wordsmith makes good on his promise to lay the mic down after the release of this album, then Untouchable would signal the end of a successful rap career tainted by controversy.
The Untouchable album will contain brand new music from the rapper as well as collaborations with 2 Face Idibia, P Square, M.I, (the late) Dagrin, Iceprince and Flavour (N’Abania). Ruggedman will also be accompanying the release of his final disc with a nationwide tour.

Asa, Lizha James, R2Bees, Others To Rock The SMVAs!
It’s this Saturday – and the producers of Soundcity Music Video Awards (SMVA) have confirmed the crème of the crop for performances at the third edition of the honours event holding in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 20.
Guests are in for a night of premium performances and top-notch entertainment, as bestsellers and hitmakers from all around the continent have been chosen to light the stage at the awards ceremony proper; taking place on Saturday, 20th November 2010 at the New Expo Hall, Eko Hotel, Lagos.
‘All the big names will make an appearance on the night’, says Executive producer Tajuddeen Adepetu. ‘Rapper MI and the Choc boys, Mo hits crew, Psquare, 9ice with Alapomeji, Banky W, Storm all stars, Timaya with Dem mama soldiers, Asa, Dama Do Bling (Mozambique), Lizha James (Mozambique), Deep level (South Africa), R2Bees (Ghana) and Toniks (Uganda)’.
It will be the most lavish and high-energy sets the awards have ever seen – especially with big fishes Asa and Lizha James signing up. Many will also expect to see Psquare, who have shunned all awards in recent times, break their own rule and hit the SMVA stage this weekend.
The third edition of SMVA is scheduled to hold on Saturday November 20 at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
Unlike previous years, the producers have expanded the categories to accommodate artistes from all over the continent – showing that, with the success of their cable channel Soundcity Premium, they are now ready to make the SMVA a continental event in the league of the MAMAs, KORA, and Channel O awards.
And Big Brother Millionaire Uti Nwachukwu, who was only weeks ago voted winner of the BBA All Stars edition, has been penciled to host this year’s event.

Internet Relationships.. do they really last?
Back in the nineties, when dating websites were in their infancy, internet relationships were generally frowned upon. The stigma it carried seemed to label people who dated over the internet as incapable of getting a date, relying on the internet to do it for them. It was greatly associated with weirdoes and potential stalkers or perverts roaming the web to prey on unsuspecting internet users. If a woman was asked how she met her new man, she might hear a sigh, or a gasp, followed by a disapproving look when she replied “On the internet.” Has that changed at all today? While people may have become more comfortable with internet dating using popular sites such as Eharmony.com and Match.com, there’s still skepticism about its efficacy. Do internet relationships last, and who’s really benefiting from internet dating?“People who’re not serious, playing games” said Tonya, an attorney and writer. “In my experience, they’re the ones who are taking over internet dating.” After trying it out for the first time in the late nineties, she found an internet relationship difficult to come by. She ended up with two undesirable experiences. Her first internet relationship involved a man who, after months of dating her, was involved with other women who were calling her at work. Although reluctant, she agreed to meet another guy who said he didn’t have a recent photo to send her. “When I met him, the only part of his description of himself that was accurate was that he was tall. He left out his sloppy looking rolls of fat, his wrinkled up, slouchy clothes, and his man breasts. After that, I gave up internet relationships.” The typical complaints most people have in common about developing internet relationships are: profiles are totally fabricated; people inaccurately characterize themselves; and some users lie about being married or in a relationship. These experiences are never advertised and can cause people to lose faith when all they see are “success stories” on television. There are people who have been dating for years via the internet wondering when they’re going to have a success story of their own. Tara, an academic advisor, and her husband, Robert, an assistant professor, have a story that can definitely be called a “success.” They met in 1998 and were married a year later. Although they actually met through voicemail, they have insightful viewpoints about the process of electronic dating—whether it's through voicemail or internet relationships. Tara had her own rules for meeting someone for the first time. “Keep it casual, meet in a public place during daylight hours, and give a couple of friends detailed information about your date and where you plan to meet,” she explained. Tara and Robert’s first date started off casual when they met at the pier in Santa Monica, Calif. The date was extended to dinner, a movie, a stroll along the boardwalk, lots of conversation, and several kisses at the end of the night. A total of thirteen hours spent together. Now husband and wife, they have a child, Michael, who is four-years-old.Robert pointed out that internet relationships have changed a great deal since he and Tara met. “When anything is mass produced it changes the way people communicate. A homeless person can create a profile on a dating site because it’s more accessible now. If I were someone in the dating market right now, I wouldn’t want to date online. I’d much rather see a woman’s face and her smile for the first time, in person.”Lee Greene, a transportation manager, has had some fleeting and strange encounters in his internet dating experience, such as a woman who wanted to pay for him to visit her in another state because he looked like her ex-husband. But he managed to have an eight-month courtship with a woman he met through the internet. “We were developing a meaningful relationship, but we were in two different places. She was more established and I still needed to get myself together. But it was an ego booster to have an attractive woman help me realize the areas of my life that I needed to work on—a woman who was genuinely interested in me." The positivity alone made the experience a “success story” for him.So does the method in which we date have a bearing on the quality of our relationships? Aren’t we the ones who determine whether relationships last, on or off the internet? The internet is just a microcosm of society as a whole. Internet relationships are only as good as who we are outside of the internet. The desire to have a positive dating experience should be the motivating force. Expecting specific outcomes seem to increase one’s chances of becoming highly disappointed and frustrated. The internet is simply a tool which makes dating more convenient. Unfortunately, some people use it to deceive other people. Anyone looking for true love through internet relationships should focus on being what they are looking for while proceeding with caution and keen observation.
