Genesis 1 : 27-28 We are designed for sex and our sexuality is an inherent part of our humanity. God created us, male and female, to suit each other, our physical parts make this obvious, showing clearly that we are wired with our sexuality, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Sexual responsiveness in a human being is activated not long after birth. The sexual emotion is the strongest physical emotion known to man. It's no respecter of age, gender, status or anointing! Sex is God's sophisticated idea; He created it for man's pleasure and for the continuation of the human race. Everything God created He called good, Genesis 1 :31 , people generally tend to believe that God and sex have no connection but it's a lie from the devil who is seeking to distort the beauty and sanctity of sex. The devil hides behind our strongest basic needs to attempt to take control of our lives. Man was created to dominate, so whenever this mandate is threatened, we attempt to get it back by any means and usually end up breaking ourselves against God's laws. A good example is when the devil deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, telling them they'd be like God if they ate fruit from the very tree that God had instructed them never to touch. They fell for his deception forgetting they were already like God, made in His image and likeness. When a person breaks God's laws, he feels guilty and this weighs heavily on his relationship with God. It's the same with sex; sex has boundaries. God created sex to be enjoyed within the context of marriage, between a man and a woman. Anything outside of this is satanic deception. We cannot serve God and Eros. We all have to submit to God in the area of our sexuality; it's He Who made our sexual emotions so strong, so only He can give us the grace and capability we need to manage it. Our sexuality is a battleground between God and satan, but we are the umpires to decide who wins. Our spirituality defines our sexuality. As true worshippers of God, let's adopt His principles regarding sex, He will turn our weaknesses to strengths.
