Many Nigerian musicians are seeking to consolidate their fame and money with power. Names bandied around include: K1, the fuji maestro has announced that he is heading for the Senate— to represent the Lagos West Senatorial District; In Somolu/Bariga, Kosoko popularly known as Jide Babs is heading for the House of Representatives on theplatform of the ACN. Abass Akande aka Obesere has declared for the House of Representatives to represent Oshodi/Isolo; and those are only a few of the alleged political hopefuls.
