Cool fm is 12 years old with its first startup location being Lagos and subsequently Abuja and Port Harcourt. With professional presenters manning their airwaves, they held the forth well - that is until recently other broadcast stations began to up their ante, with their toughest competition being The Beat 99.9 fm lagos. While coolfm969's facebook fan page has 72,546 fans as at the time of writing this article, Beat fm is sitting comfortably with 176,489 followers on facebook not including their twitter family as well. The beat 99.9fm is just about two years old but their presenters Olisa Adibua, Orecka, Tolu Toolz, Gbemi, Jimmy, Vanessa and Chris have slowly captured the hearts of Lagosians and global citizens with their impeccable presentation style. Cool fm no doubt has some periods like the evening drive time show with DJ Ifedayo (i mean freeze) and N6 and the night cafe with Vicky locked down, Beat fm is sitting a little over comfortably atop our survey as the most listned to radio station in Lagos.. and like they say at the beat .. you can't beat the beat... or can you?
