The word is out, the talented singer managed by Banky W’s EME entertainment may soon go into a collaboration with Konvict music CEO Badara Thiam Akon as he prepares to do a remix of his hit single Dont dull.
According to the gist, Whiz Kid had been performing live at an event in UK where incidentally the Konvict boss was also billed to perform. Akon, this writer was told had watched Whiz Kid perform and had immediately fallen in love with the song.
After the performance he had promptly walked up to Whiz Kid to announce that he would love to do a collaboration with him and that was how the deal was struck.
The single Dont dull was released shortly after the success story of Holla At Your boy which en fetched the young singer two nominations at the 2010 Dynamix Awards in Lagos.
The single was produced by fast rising producer, Samklef who had also worked prominently in Whiz Kids debut album My Time released in June, this year.
As expected, Wizkid had effortlessly dropped catchy lines all over this single that may have eventually lured Akon into this collaboration.
