Ne-Yo has exclusively told MTV UK that he "absolutely" regrets not signing Justin Bieber.
The Closer hitmaker, who is about to tour the UK with pal Trey Songz and support from Chipmunk, previously passed on the chance to snap-up the Baby singer – something he now regrets.
When we asked Ne-Yo whether he had any doubts about not signing Justin, leaving his rival Usher to land a deal with the 16-year old, the singer replied: "Absolutely…I absolutely regret not signing him. He is hugely talent."
Ne-Yo went onto explain that the main reason he declined to sign Bieber was that he: "didn't know what music to make with an 11-year old boy." He continued: "If I had signed him, it probably would have worked out the same as Justin is hugely talented and deserves the success…". Despite admitting his mistake, the Beautiful Monster singer also discussed that he is now writing material for Justin's forthcoming album.
The R&B crooner admitted: "I am writing for Justin but I'm finding it kinda hard as it's a long time since I was 16-years old. "
He added: "At the moment, I'm just playing around with a few ideas for him."
