P Square: Drake Approached Us For A Collabo.
The renowned artiste, who were well received by Sierra Leone president years back got Americans dancing at their ‘groovy’ African pop music. The twins who started their US tour on June 26, a day before the BET awards in which they were nominated ended it July 24 and they’ve left their fans keep asking for more. The duo managed to tour 7 states in the US and concerts were all sold out. P Square stunned by the turn out claimed they almost got suffocated during the tour following the overcrowded centres filled up with fans dying to watch them perform, while some of their fans in Atlanta, Chicago and other states waited in vain as P Square promised to tour those states next year. How the Americans managed to groove and sing to their pidgin-oriented songs still foxes minds, only interpretes and buttress the piont that music is a universal language.
P Square disclosed that they almost got raped by some crazy female fans, and they had to take the situation in stride. P Square, who earlier claimed they had fun with Drake at the BET pre-award party later hinted us on how Drake approached them for a collabo following the highly successful tour. And you just wonder what both artistes had in common considering their style of music and distance geographical. But what do Busta Rhymes and The Pulse have in common for them to have successfully collaborated on that sing along hook ‘sotey‘. Is Drake trying to consider the possibility of blending his American hiphop style with African pop? Or he’s just wants to appeal to his African fans through P Square. P Square never explained as to whether they went further after the approach and it makes you wonder – the same twin said they bought the house the use to live in at a whooping amount, only for the owner to counter my claim.
Peter’s statement: ‘I don’t actually know how to explain how successful the tour was because aside the fact that all the shows were sold out, the passion shown by the fans particularly the white ones, was incredible. I never knew Americans love us that much. Surprisingly, they knew the lyrics of our songs and were singing along with us. I am yet to find the right words to describe the success of the tour and the experience i had in the hands of the American girls who wanted to rape me but I am happy that the show was highly successful which prompted American star singer, Drake to approach us for a collabo.’
What do you think following the fact that P Square once lied about having bought their former house, only to have the Landlord out them to the press?
