Dangote and Otedola Back AT War.
the other for their woes, and are determined to take a pound of flesh from the other.
It was disclose that all is not well between the only two Nigerians who have made the Forbes list of billionaires. Truce pact reached in 2009 has irrevocably broken down.
Precisely on August 19th 2009, the most famous duel in Nigerian corporate history, ended with what may be the most famous reconciliation. Bosom enemies; Bitter friends. The Nigeria’s richest duo; Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Chief Femi Otedola decided to bury the hatchet, untangling the love-hate relationship between the two oligarchs that has brought their financial empires to the brink of total ruin.
The famous 2009 reconciliation, at the instance of Nduka Obaigbena, Editor-in-Chief and Chairman/CEO of This Day newspaper followed months of tortuous negotiations as friends of the two erstwhile billionaires battled desperately to reconcile the two men in the wake of a campaign of vilification and personal destruction waged by their surrogates in the media. At the reconciliation parley, both men pledged to be civil to one another and cease all hostilities.
But with this breakdown, Nigerians are about to witness a battle royale between the ex friends.
